• Uploaded Files & Text: Any text or files (TXT, SRT, EPUB) you submit are processed on our servers *only* to generate furigana. We do *not* store your original or processed text/files long-term. Temporary files, like processed EPUBs, are stored for a short duration (typically hours or days) solely to allow you to download them and are then automatically deleted. We do not read, analyze, or share the content of your submissions.
• Usage Data (Analytics): We use Umami, a privacy-focused web analytics service, to collect anonymous data about your interactions with our website. This includes information such as page views, the features you engage with (for example, which input mode you select, the tokenizer engine or furigana type chosen, and which download buttons are clicked), and general navigation patterns on the site. This data is aggregated, does not personally identify you, and does not include any part of the text or files you upload. We use this information solely to understand how EZFurigana is being used, to monitor feature popularity, and to improve the website's functionality and overall user experience. Umami is designed to be privacy-respecting by not using cookies and not tracking users across different websites.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: We use Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. This service may collect minimal technical data to distinguish humans from bots, subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

How We Use Information

We use the information solely to:

• Provide the core furigana generation service.
• Allow downloads of processed files.
• Protect the service from abuse.
• Improve the website's functionality, features, and user experience based on aggregated usage patterns.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the temporary data on our servers, but please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Do not upload highly sensitive or confidential information.
